So many challenges – so little time!! I wanted to make a card for the Splitcoast Stampers CAS challenge to use letters (my first challenge – yay me!!). My first thought was letter blocks for babies…
I had the Sasparilla 8×8 paper pad from October Afternoon that I hadn’t played with yet and since it had a great piece with letter/number blocks, it was the winner. I paper-pieced from that collection and accented with the word BABY with Thickers. I love Thickers – they make adding a bold sentiment so easy. So often I find I want to say something and I don’t have a stamp with the appropriate sentiment (I am letter stamp challenged! They never seem to go exactly where I’d like – but I keep trying!) Stick on letters (like Thickers) are perfect for these times, so I always keep some on hand. I really like the white ones because you can ink them to match your project if white doesn’t work.
I finished it off with some faux stitching with a white gel pen and a bow of bakers twine.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope it inspires you to create your own!
